Between phones, satellites and surveillance cameras it is impossible to avoid your likeness being captured. Someone is always watching you. This is especially poignant when considering the facial recognition software being used by governments, companies and even universities today.
The photography series Faces found in the link were taken from far away without the subject's knowledge or consent. The prints, being two meters tall, engulf the viewer, representing the fact that being surveyed without your permission is inescapable.

Stephanie Dinkins is known for creating platforms for dialogue about artificial intelligence (AI) as it intersects race, gender, aging, and our future histories. She is particularly driven to work with communities of color to co-create more inclusive, fair and ethical artificial intelligent ecosystems.
Ever since I can remember, I've been taught to love nature. I was encouraged to explore the land we lived on, to walk through woods and wander through meadows, to treat the earth gently and respect my fellow creatures.
Outside in my own yard I set up and positioned in diorama format all kinds of African and North American highly detailed miniature animal figurines. Each animal is store-bought and hand painted from a company called Schleich.

My photography, video, and installation-based work is engaged with the oppression of women and denial of identity.
I bring my camera with me during my daily morning walks. I would take a picture of something I thought is beautiful or unique. I put all of my pictures I took together in a video.
I have a permanent public art installation at the Mariano's Bronzeville. This exhibit features portraits of living and deceased artists from the South Side Community Art Center, that were involved with creating the Wall of Respect, and or preserving the legacy of the Black Arts Movement.
Submerged comes from a series of images shot underwater with custom optics to create an emotive dreamscape.
