One Boat No Shore
4 minutes
At a time when Mother Nature is sending us to our rooms this song makes it clear - if it isn’t already clear - that we are all in the same boat and there is no shore. This is a piano blues and a home video.
If it isn’t already clear that we are intimately connected, this song makes it clear that we are indeed one. Sung by Matthew Santos (of Lupé Fiaco “Super Star” fame) and performed by Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues - from the Different Voices Album.

It Was A Rebellion has been in development for three years. An early version was performed as a pirate radio broadcast at Homan Square, a former Chicago Police Department black site. It mixes music from the Civil Rights Era and the Black Panther Party, news reports and political speeches, and ephemeral and symbolic sounds to articulate public expressions of Black rage.
It Was A Rebellion (House Mix) plays on the political roots of Black with a Chicago-style dance party vibe.
