It Was A Rebellion has been in development for three years. An early version was performed as a pirate radio broadcast at Homan Square, a former Chicago Police Department black site. It mixes music from the Civil Rights Era and the Black Panther Party, news reports and political speeches, and ephemeral and symbolic sounds to articulate public expressions of Black rage.

It Was A Rebellion (House Mix) plays on the political roots of Black with a Chicago-style dance party vibe.

It Was A Rebellion (House Mix) plays on the political roots of Hip Hip, House, Jazz, and Soul music and gives them a do over with a Chicago-style dance party vibe.
