SLAYSIAN is a celebration of Illinois’ Asian American artists. Originally scheduled to open on March 20, it has been postponed due to COVID-19, so here’s a digital exhibition.
Outside in my own yard I set up and positioned in diorama format all kinds of African and North American highly detailed miniature animal figurines. Each animal is store-bought and hand painted from a company called Schleich.
From 1950–1975, Chicago-based Container Corporation of America ran a campaign heralded as one of the best in advertising history, Great Ideas of Western Man.
I am currently working on a solo show for July (hopefully will still show) focusing on images your mind creates while you are dreaming of people you may see on the streets that become as familiar to you as a friend or relative.
