Out on a Whim!
Virtual exhibit of 25 whimsical footstools with shoes done in collage/mixed media. Presented by FootsieStools Ltd., a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Rockford, Illinois, that promotes the arts for healing and therapeutic humor. The exhibit travels to people who need their spirits uplifted with a special focus on those impacted by cancer.
“All the Buzz”
A sweet foray into bee land where you can find sunshine on a stem and a buzz of activity around yellow blooms.
Busy as a bee! This bright and sunny piece always captures attention. It is done in blooms of yellow to express the shining sun in midsummer. The various uses of honey are illustrated by pictures and bling while the bees busy themselves making more sweet honey. Is that Pooh Bear covered in honey and in trouble with the bees again? Can you find the Queen Bee? It’s little Rena (her name means “Queen”); she was diagnosed with cancer in 2012*. Look…she even has a crown on her forehead! (*From National Children’s Cancer Society Calendar 2012)

Ever since I can remember, I've been taught to love nature. I was encouraged to explore the land we lived on, to walk through woods and wander through meadows, to treat the earth gently and respect my fellow creatures.
Long story short, we sell art and make kick-ass murals! Chicago Truborn works with local and international artists alike—most of whom paint predominantly with aerosol.
Enter the virtual art collection of the Union League Club of Chicago, est. 1879.
I am currently working on a solo show for July (hopefully will still show) focusing on images your mind creates while you are dreaming of people you may see on the streets that become as familiar to you as a friend or relative.
Having just returned from England and facing the unknowns and horrors of the coronavirus crisis here at home, I was compelled to paint this composition, reflecting uncertainty, anxiety, and a desire for some semblance of control in my—but also hope, knowing that "the sun will rise" eventually.

I bring my camera with me during my daily morning walks. I would take a picture of something I thought is beautiful or unique. I put all of my pictures I took together in a video.

I have a permanent public art installation at the Mariano's Bronzeville. This exhibit features portraits of living and deceased artists from the South Side Community Art Center, that were involved with creating the Wall of Respect, and or preserving the legacy of the Black Arts Movement.
