"Waiting to Release the Sun"

Having just returned from England and facing the unknowns and horrors of the coronavirus crisis here at home, I was compelled to paint this composition, reflecting uncertainty, anxiety, and a desire for some semblance of control in my—but also hope, knowing that "the sun will rise" eventually.
