Special Performance by Miguel Cervantes

Miguel Cervantes (Alexander Hamilton in Chicago and on Broadway) received the Artist of the Year award from @thehappinessclub in August 2019 at the group's annual benefit @parkwestchicago. @mig.cervantes joined the kids on stage for a Hamilton/Jackson 5 mashup. The Happiness Club is a free year round performing arts education program for kids 6-18 where they receive professional instruction in voice, songwriting, rap and dance.Without The Happiness Club many of these young people would have no exposure to the arts. The kids create a new original musical show each year, encouraging positive values and social change. Tanji Harper @dancetanj is the choreographer and artistic director.

In 2019 actor Miguel Cervantes (Hamilton) received the Artist of the Year Award from The Happiness Club, joining the kids for a mashup performance of songs from Hamilton and The Jackson 5.
