We Hold These Truths
Soldiers in 1942 during WWII preparing to fight for our freedom. In that era, you would not have seen a black man and a white man cleaning guns next to each other because of segregation. As one American general famously said, "Why are we spending so many resources to separate each other? The Germans do not care who they are shooting at." The artist wanted show that we may have had our many problems here at home, but we still came together to win the war.
